Home Current Events Brown Bag Meetings

CISA brown bag meetings are informal lunch-time get-togethers occurring on the first Friday of every month from 12pm to 1pm in the CISA Laboratory (AH 259). These meetings provide an opportunity for discussions on recent events, issues, and technologies pertaining to information security and assurance. The purpose of these meetings is to share experiences, knowledge, and opinions and to acquire nuggets of understanding on topics related to information security and assurance.

Where: Center for Information Assurance (CISA) Laboratory (AH259).

When: The first Friday of every month from 12pm to 1pm. 



Online Password Cracking Discussion

A discussion of both commercial and freely available software for discovering passwords. Insecure.org has a top ten list of available password crackers, and SANS has a great (and very accessible) article that describes how a password cracker actually works.
