Course policy
- Homework-Quizzes: Homework and quizzes will be picked up/given randomly.
- Absences: In a mathematics course class attendance is extremely important,
since the material is cumulative.
If you miss a class you are responsible for all information covered that day.
Also, you must attend at least 80% of class meetings for the semester.
If you do not you will receive an F for your final grade.
- Late work: Late work will not be accepted.
If a situation in which you have no control over arises come talk to me
and we will see if we can work something out.
If at all possible come before the work is due.
- Special accommodations for this course
(DSS accommodations, school events, personal crises, etc.) should be discussed
with me at the beginning of the semester.
- Students must adhere to the university policy for academic honesty and sexual harassment as
specified in the JSU Student Handbook.
- Beepers and cell phones must be silent during all class meetings.
- There are no make-up exams.
I will replace your lowest grade with the final provided it is higher.
Science is built up with facts, as a house is with stones.
But a collection of facts is no more a science than a heap of stones is a house.
