If you missed class today, you will probably need to get someone's notes and/or help to understand how to relate the graphs of a function, its first derivative and its second derivative. You will also probably need some help to understand "Logarithmic Differentiation" (4.4, #43-52) I gave some problems in class similar to 51 & 52 to give more practice with this type that must be done by this method. The other problems in this area can also be done by a combination of product, or quotient rules with the chain rule. |

I will have regular office & tutoring hours today. I sent a class email about the above schedule and the fact that I failed to give back your 2nd test, so that you could have it for study purposes. Stop by and pick up any tests. |
