Details for the courses required in each of these curricula can be found in the catalog that can be accessed
on-line.
There are 36 full-time faculty members, 19 in mathematics and 17 in computer science. Students in this department receive excellent instruction, as well as additional personal interaction as needed. Employers consistently provide favorable reports of the performance and accomplishments of our graduates.
A number of our faculty maintain active research programs, and constantly seek students interested in completing meaningful and challenging projects while engaged in advanced undergraduate or graduate study. Each year, approximately 15 graduate assistantships are awarded to students pursuing a Master’s degree. Information on applying for assistantships can be found at http://www.jsu.edu/depart/graduate/bulletin/2005-06Bulletin.pdf.
If you are interested in any of the programs provided, contact us at fkelley@jsu.edu or http://mcis.jsu.edu.
Any request for information, assistance or counsel will be handled as quickly as possible.
