Alabama Statewide Mathematics Contest - Mailing Lists

Mailing Lists for the
Alabama Statewide High School Mathematics Contest

We maintain an email mailing list and we welcome your help in keeping this list complete and accurate. Our email mailing list contains the email addresses of all the math team sponsors for whom we have working email addresses. The main purposes of this list are to allow immediate announcements of We can also use this list for other reminders and announcements later in the year, and to conduct surveys regarding possible changes in the contest's structure and rules.

Our main source for these addresses is the information submitted by sponsors on their enrollment forms in previous years. But some sponsors have not submitted email addresses, submitted illegible or incorrect addresses, or submitted addresses which they no longer use.

If you are a math team sponsor or any other interested party who would like to receive electronic announcements about the contest, please contact the contest director (see below) with your email address! You will be put on the list immediately. (You do not need to be on this list to participate in the contest, but it is helpful.)

Each fall, we mail brochures announcing the contest. For this mailing, we obtain mailing labels from the Alabama State Department of Education for every public and private school in Alabama teaching grades 9 or higher. One brochure is mailed to each school, addressed to "Math Department Chair".

If you do not receive a brochure in the mail, it is probably because the brochure reaches your school, but does not reach you, in which case you need to let the appropriate people know that you want to see it when it comes. At any rate, the dates for the contest and the complete brochure are both posted on the contest web site (http://mcis.jsu.edu/mathcontest) as soon as they are ready (late summer and mid-October, respectively).
